By establishing a new college at Marampally in 1995, M.E.S. has broken new grounds in the field of higher education. The technical and professional courses imparted in this institution have gained wider acceptance from the society and that gave added confidence to the management to start professional educational institutions.

M.E.S. College Marampally is an aided college affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. It is located between the towns of Aluva and Perumbavoor (KSRTC Route). The campus, spread out in a hilly stretch surrounded by lush greenery, is a sure sight of delight for a lover of nature. The college is also in close vicinity to the river Periyar and very near to the city of Kochi and the International Airport, Nedumbassery, Kochi.

M.E.S. College, Marampally commits itself to the mission of M.E.S. that is to work for the educational, social and economic advancement of the people of India in all possible ways. It tries to promote Higher, Technical and Professional education and improve the standard and quality of education among the people in general and minorities and backward classes in particular. The motto of the College is to meet the challenges confidently and constantly raise the standards of excellence.

RULES OF GENERAL BEHAVIOUR AND DISCIPLINE
  1. Students of M.E.S. College Marampally shall try their best to uphold the honour and prestige of the institution by humility, fellow feeling and hard work. They should endeavour to create an atmosphere conducive to academic, cultural and social progress.

  2. Students shall maintain cordial relationship with the members of the staff and they must work for developing their innate talents and personality.

  3. Every student shall use the property of the institution with care and keep the building and premises clean.

  4. Students should protect and preserve the institution with care and other properties inside the campus.

  5. Misbehaviour towards fellow students, the members of the staff, smoking and drunkenness, general neglect of studies or any activity which adversely affect the discipline of the campus will be considered as serious offences.

  6. Students should desist from organising any meeting or collecting money for any purpose or circulating notice without the prior sanction of the p_incipal.

  7. Students should come to the campus wearing the stipulated uniform. Partial or complete non-observance of the decree will not be tolerated.

  8. Duly leave will not be granted to students for union activities.

  9. Students are expected to spend their free hours in the library / reading room observing silence.

  10. In case the student violates any of the rules scheduled above, the principal is empowered to present the matter before the college staff council, who on the part can, after proper investigation, recomend further action from the head of the institution.


LABORATOBY RULES
The following are the General rules to be followed in the Computer, Electronics and Biotechnology Lab.

  1. Students should involve in the lab work in the most disciplined fashion. They should realize that Lab hours are the stepping-stones to an intimate understanding of the subject and further research.

  2. Students should maintain silence and cleanliness within the Lab.

  3. All equipment should be handled with care and utmost responsibility.

  4. No equipment should be displaced from its original position.

  5. Strict action will be taken if any article is stolen from the Lab.

  6. If any equipment or apparatus is broken, out of carelessness, the student will have to pay a fine.

  7. Students should sign the logbook at the commencement of the Lab hour.

  P.T.A - Parent Teachers Assosiation
 
The assosiation of the guardians will elect an executive committee at the general body of the parents. This committee will help the institution in promoting and implementing many of the welfare schemes of the college and in maintaining the proper atmosphere in the college.

  Library
 
Library
  1. All members of the staff and students are entitled to use the library for reference and borrowing books.

  2. The library will be kept open from 9.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m.

  3. Students of each course have been assigned a particular day of a week for borrowing / renewing / returning books.

  4. The students shall register their names in the Register book before borrowing books. Students will be allotted a limited number of books for a specified time.

  5. A fine of 50 paise per day will be charged from those who fail to return their bo_s on their respective due date.

  6. Students are advised to report any defect or damage in the book before it has been given to them. Otherwise it will be presumed that the book was without damage at the time it was issued. If a book / periodical is damaged by a member he / she will have to replace it or pay the cost of the book / periodical.
