College Union :

All the students of M.E.S. College,
Marampally are ordinary members of the College Union and
the members of the teaching staff are its honorary members.
-
The College Union purports to promote
and instil democratic principles in the students, to equip
them in the rights and duties of citizenship and to provide
them opportunities for the development of their personality.
-
The Executive Committee of the College
Union shall consist of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, General
Secretary, University Union Councillors, Arts Club Secretary,
Student Editor of the College Magazine, Lady Representatives,
Association Secretaries and Class Representatives.

The Principal shall be the Hon. Treasurer
of the College Union.

There shall be a Staff Adviser to
the College Union
Department Assosiations :
- Each department has an association for planning and implementing
various activities depending on th requirements and interst
of the students.
- The Heads of the Department will be the President of
the association and there shall be a student secretary for
arranging programmes.

The NSS unit (Unit No.68) of our college started
functioning in 1996-97. Membership is open to both boys
and girls. The volunteers of the NSS are expected to work
for 120 hours a year. The NSS Certificate holders are eligible
to get weightage of marks for admission to any course of
study.

A career development cell is functioning in
the college.Throughout the duration of courses, the bureau
organizes careerdevelopment activties to assist students.
This cell is working under the guidance of trained staff
members. Brochures on career information of various institution
will be availabe with this office.

Nature Club
This club focusses its attention on spreading the message
of environmental presevation anf protection. It tries
to enlighten the student community by arranging programmes
which emphasize the harmony of man and nature. The activities
are done inside as well as well outside the campus. There
is a faculty member to guide the students.

Tutorial System
This has been orgnized for furthering the bond between
teacher and students. The students are divided into batches
and placed under group tutors. The students can consult
his / her tutor on all matters related to academic performances.
This system is further reinforced by linking it up with
the parent Teachers Association.

Quality Circle
Inorder to maintain high standards in the various curricular
and extracurricular activties, a forum has been mooted
to monitor them. The forum consists of the steering committee
members of NAAC and the selected student representative
from each class. They meet periodically and exchange views
about' various programmes.

Medical Inspection
The College provides the facility for check up by a registered
medical practitioner on a particular week day twice every
month.
