The NSS Unit 68 of M.E.S College, Marampally (Autonomous) successfully organised the Seven Day Special Camp “Sahajeevanam 2025” at the School for the Blind, Aluva, from 23rd to 29th December 2025. The camp aimed at fostering social responsibility, leadership, and community engagement among student volunteers. Over the course of seven days, the volunteers actively participated in community service activities such as campus cleaning and beautification, painting and maintenance works, environmental initiatives including sapling planting and beach cleaning, hospital service, and public awareness programmes. The camp also featured expert-led orientation sessions on fire and safety, basic life support, mental health first aid, cyber awareness, and responsible citizenship. Cultural programmes and daily evaluation sessions further enriched the learning experience. The camp successfully embodied the ethos of the National Service Scheme, “Not Me, But You,” creating a positive impact on both the community and the volunteers.
