From its inception in 2001, the Department of Commerce, M.E.S. College ,Marampally has traversed a long way before resting on the laurels of becoming one of the most sought after course in the M.G. University. The Department takes pride in its commendable performance in terms of developmental indicators such as student intake, number of teachers, research initiative and social responsibility activities. At present, it has 10 full-time teachers and has 3 programmes-B.Com (Computer Application),B.Com (Taxation) and M.Com (Finance).
The Department, in keeping with the advances made in different branches of Commerce, has been giving various additional sessions in terms of , personality development sessions, guest lectures by experts from industry, seminars by the students on wide ranging topics and industrial visits which help students in understanding the industry and work environment for comfortable adaptation for their career development. The faculty of the department is well experienced in facilitating the students with strong academic and research background.
