SEDGs Cell
SOCIO-ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED GROUPS [SEDGs] CELL
In alignment with national guidelines, MES College Marampally has constituted a dedicated Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) Cell. The purpose of this Cell is to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality higher education for students belonging to socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The SEDGs Cell functions as an independent and autonomous body, ensuring that its activities do not interfere with the operations of other statutory or supportive Cells within the college.
The Cell is committed to:
- Safeguarding the constitutionally guaranteed rights of all SEDGs students.
- Promoting their dignity, safety, and security within the institution.
- Facilitating equal access and opportunities in higher education and overall development.
The Cell works in collaboration with existing statutory bodies such as the SC/ST Cell, Minority Cell, and other support mechanisms in the college.
