Department of Psychology was established in 2013.The department offers undergraduate programme – BSc. Psychology (Model 1) with 60 seats and MSc. Psychology, Aided (specialization in Clinical Psychology) with 12 seats.

- To achieve excellence in the teaching of undergraduate students, the generation and sharing of knowledge through teaching and mentoring, and to apply knowledge through outreach and service, tackling social and psychological issues.
- The specific mission is to provide students, highest quality learning opportunities, with an understanding of
a) The mental structures and processes that underlie individual human experience and behaviour,
b) The scientific methodologies by which such a knowledge base is required,
c) The critical and divergent thinking skills necessary to evaluate scientific and popular claims concerning behaviour
d) The application of scientific psychological principles to personal and social issues.
